BLAB’s Calendar Integration is Great. The way BLAB hooks into your online calendars is a delight. Even if you have 5 different google calendars like I do, you’ll be able to fine-tune exactly where you want the system to check your availability, and which one is the right one for each appointment.
Full and Lite Booking Pages. Every booking page gives you two choices. You can send the simple booking form to streamline everything, or you can give out a link that contains the full information.
Are There Any Downsides to Using Book Like a Boss (BLAB)?
Occasional Email Deliverability Issues: Sometimes, there are small issues with deliverability on the booking emails. 95% of my clients receive their confirmations and reminders just as they should, but occasionally someone misses out. The customer service team are great though, and will help you troubleshoot if this happens.
Slightly Confusing Menu Names: Some of the menu names can be confusing at first. For example, there’s a Calendar section where you manage your integrated calendars (Apple iCloud, Google, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365) and block off unavailable time. Meanwhile, the Booking Schedule area is where you set what times of the day and days of the week you’re available. Great settings, easy to use, just a little confusing maybe.
Possibly unnecessary messaging system: Personal opinion: The messaging system inside BLAB is unnecessary. I keep mine switched off.
Honest opinion: None of these three are deal-breaking issues. In fact, I chose to nitpick a little bit as I was writing my review.

BLAB is an excellent tool and even non-techy people can master it quickly. I love how easy it has made my life for booking all kinds of appointments, from my full Day of Mobile Mentoring to a quick 15-minute chat.

I’ve used Acuity Scheduling primarily through its Squarespace integration, and it’s great for assigning team members to specific bookings and easily adjusting timezones. Both Acuity and BLAB can take payments for bookings, and their reminder systems are top-notch.
However, when it comes to pricing, Book Like a Boss tends to offer better value—especially if you’re interested in their Freelancer plans, which come with more features at a lower cost compared to Acuity's pricing.
Book Like a Boss vs TidyCal
TidyCal is a solid choice for solopreneurs looking for a free or lifetime access plan. While it offers basic features, it doesn’t stack up to the rich functionality of BLAB—especially when it comes to appointment follow-ups, integrations, and personalization.
For me, as a user of several different digital calendars, the multi-calendar feature of Book Like a Boss really stands out. It allows for seamless syncing across different platforms, which makes scheduling far more streamlined.
Bonus Tip: Use TextExpander + Book Like a Boss to Make Online Scheduling Even Easier
Once you’ve created a standard booking link for a short call with you, set it up with a shortcut in a link shortener like TextExpander.
This way, whenever you type your quick code (something like “cal-link”), your computer will automatically insert the booking link and you will NEVER have to type it from memory again. 💅🏼

It’s so much easier to organise your calls, appointments, and meetings when you have an online calendar (like Google Calendar) and an online scheduling tool.
To stay organised, make sure you’ve linked the scheduling tool with your online calendar so it automatically creates calendar appointments and checks your availability. Set up email reminders for you and for your clients. I like to have one 24 hours, and another one 60 minutes before the appointment starts.
